How we are paid

Income comes from one place: clients paying for development, consulting and retainers. Rates and ranges are published on the pricing page and quoted in writing per project.

There is no other revenue stream on this site — no advertising, no display network, no lead resale, no data monetisation, no paid newsletter.

Affiliate links and commissions

There are none. No link on this site earns a commission, referral fee or credit if you click it or buy something. Tools are linked because they are relevant, and nothing changes for us if you use them.

If that ever changes, the link will be marked as an affiliate link at the point of the link, and this page will say so before it goes live.

Sponsorship and paid placement

No page, article or recommendation on this site has been paid for by a vendor. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid guest articles, paid link insertions, or payment to include a product in a comparison. Requests to buy a mention are declined, including the ones offering rather a lot.

We also do not pay for placement or reviews elsewhere.

Vendor and partner relationships

We hold ordinary paid accounts with the providers used in client work — model APIs, cloud hosts, databases, monitoring. Those are costs, not commissions.

Where we hold a formal partner or reseller status with a vendor, it is named here. At the time of writing: none. If that changes, it will be listed with a description of what the arrangement involves, and any page recommending that vendor will carry the same note.

How a technology recommendation is made

The choice comes down to what fits your constraints: what your team already runs, what your data residency and compliance rules allow, what it costs at your volume, how easily you could leave it, and whether it is likely to exist in three years.

Wherever it is practical, systems are built so a provider can be swapped without a rewrite. Vendor lock-in is a real cost, and it is treated as one. If the honest recommendation is that you do not need a custom build at all — that an off-the-shelf product does the job for a fraction of the price — you will be told that, and we have told clients that before.

Where AI is used on this site

The writing on this site is ours. AI assistance is used the way a spellchecker or a research assistant is used — drafting alternatives, checking structure, catching clumsy sentences — and every page is reviewed, edited and fact-checked by a person before it is published. Nothing is generated and posted unread.

The images are worth stating plainly too: there are no photographs on this site. The desk scene, the diagrams and the brand mark are drawings generated from code we wrote. They illustrate the kind of work described rather than documenting it, and none of them shows a real person, office or client project.

This matters because a site selling AI engineering should be straight about its own use of it.

Client examples and testimonials

Client names and project descriptions are published only with written permission. Quotations are reproduced as given, and are never paid for or given in exchange for a discount. Where an example is anonymised at a client's request, that is stated rather than disguised.

Independence

No vendor, client or third party has editorial control over what is published here. Nothing on this site has been changed or removed because a company asked, and if that ever happened it would be noted on the page in question.

Corrections

If something here is wrong or has gone out of date, write to contact@hire-ai-dev.com. Substantive corrections are made promptly and, where the change is material, noted on the page.
